From Biological Age to Treatment Plan: Proteomics in Clinical Practice

KeynotePrecision StageBODYLongevity

About the session

Most longevity clinics can now give a patient a biological age. Far fewer can show which systems drive that number, which treatment to start, or whether the treatment worked. A single number opens a conversation, but it rarely changes what happens next in the clinic.

This talk shows how a proteomic clock is used in day-to-day practice. Read by LC-MS from a buccal swab the patient takes at home, it breaks biological age down into sub-markers for the underlying cellular processes, such as inflammation, mitochondrial function and DNA repair. The baseline points to the interventions a patient needs, and a re-test a few months later shows at the cellular level whether they worked.

Clemens walks through the workflow from baseline to re-test, with examples from clinics already using it, and shows how measured progress keeps patients coming back long after the first consultation.
