Boniface Verney-Carron

My name is Boniface Verney-Carron. I am an osteopath, acupuncturist, and body psychologist, specializing in the physical manifestations of emotional trauma and stress.

My interest in this field began more than 23 years ago through an in-depth study of the vagus nerve. That research led me to a deeper understanding of the profound connection between emotional wellbeing, neurological regulation, and overall health. Since then, my work has focused on helping people understand how emotional experiences can affect the body, and how restoring balance to the nervous system can support both physical and psychological healing. is Boniface Verney-Carron. ABOUT THE SESSION

The nervous system: whats really running our biology

4 OCT · Vision Stage · 10:05

We talk a lot about optimizing our health – sleep, nutrition, hormones, movement, supplements and recovery. But underneath many of these sits a system we are only beginning to understand more deeply: the nervous system.

Our nervous system constantly reads and responds to the world around us. It influences how we handle stress and recover from it, but also how we sleep, digest, connect, perform and make decisions.

In this conversation, we’ll explore the nervous system as a foundational piece of understanding our biology. What actually happens when we become stuck in states of chronic activation or dysregulation? How does our physiological state shape the way we think, feel and respond? And why can two people exposed to the same pressure – or even the same health intervention – respond completely differently?

Rather than looking at stress as something we simply need to eliminate, we’ll explore how we can build greater capacity, flexibility and resilience within the nervous system – and why learning to understand and work with our own state may be one of the most overlooked foundations of long-term health and performance.
