ABOUT THE SESSION
From periods to longevity: what every woman should know about her body
3 OCT · Vision Stage · 13:30
A woman’s biology is not static. From our reproductive years through pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause and beyond, our hormones, metabolism, brain, bones, cardiovascular system and emotional health are constantly interacting and evolving.
Yet women’s health is still too often approached in fragments: fertility over here, hormones over there, mental health somewhere else — with symptoms treated individually rather than understood as part of a bigger biological picture.
This conversation explores what changes when we start looking at women’s health as a continuum rather than a series of isolated conditions.
Bringing together different perspectives on female biology, hormones, longevity and health, the panel will explore what women should understand about their bodies at different stages of life; how one phase can influence the next; and why symptoms may be signals worth understanding rather than problems to simply suppress.
Most importantly, we’ll ask a bigger question: What would women’s health look like if we stopped waiting for something to go wrong and instead gave women the knowledge, data and tools to understand their biology throughout their lives?
ABOUT THE SESSION
Why bone health is the #1 dealbreaker in female longevity
4 OCT · Vision Stage · 14:25
Women lose bone fast in the years around menopause, and most only find out when they break something. One in three Danish women over 50 will get osteoporosis, and a hip fracture later in life can end years of independent living.
So is bone health really the dealbreaker in female longevity? Hormone specialist Dr. Marie Foegh, gynaecologist and iron researcher Prof. Christian Breymann and OsteoStrong Denmark co-founder Rasmus Just take on the question. They'll get into what menopause does to your bones, where hormone therapy stands today, whether you can still build bone after 50 and what the Danish healthcare system misses.
You'll leave knowing what to ask your doctor, and when to ask it.
