From Measuring Biological Age to Reversing It – The Next Frontier in Longevity Medicine

4 OCT · Vision Stage · 15:10

Dozens of biological age clocks are now on the market, and biological age has become a popular biomarker in its own right. Yet one question often goes unanswered: what can a person actually do with the result? There is still little data on actionability, meaning whether a clock responds to concrete interventions and reliably reflects changes in health status over time. This gap matters most in longevity medicine, a field full of promises but short on clinical evidence. To separate effective interventions from hype, we need health and performance biomarkers that can validate them longitudinally.

This talk presents a proteomics-based approach to closing that gap. A proteomic clock, built from LC-MS analysis of a simple buccal swab, provides more than a single biological age estimate. It also generates sub-markers for the underlying cellular processes. This added resolution turns an abstract number into specific feedback on which biological systems are changing.
