Dr. Mareike Claussen

CEO Vitaminkliniken, Keynote speaker, entreprenör, doktor

Dr. Mareike Claussen, MD, PhD, is a physician, molecular scientist and entrepreneur working at the intersection of preventive medicine, longevity and human performance.

She is the founder and CEO of Vitaminkliniken Sverige, one of Sweden’s fastest growing networks in preventive and individualized health, now spanning more than 80 clinics across the country and expanding internationally.

With a background in molecular genetics, medicine and preventive health, Mareike is fascinated by one question: How do we keep people at their best, before they become patients?

Her work focuses on translating science into practical, scalable healthcare. She works with physicians, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and people operating at the highest levels of performance, including the teams surrounding elite and Olympic athletes.

Her philosophy is simple: modern medicine should not only be about treating disease. It should help us understand the individual earlier, intervene smarter and preserve health, energy and performance for longer.

Alongside building Vitaminkliniken, Mareike is developing new concepts combining diagnostics, data, personalized medicine and AI, with the ambition of making high quality preventive healthcare accessible across borders.

A scientist by training and an entrepreneur by nature, she is happiest somewhere between a laboratory, a clinic, a stage and a completely new idea that probably sounds slightly impossible at first.

Her mission: to move healthcare from “What is wrong with you?” to “How good could you actually be? ”

ABOUT THE SESSION

The hidden cost of convenience

4 OCT · Vision Stage · 11:25

What ultra-processed food is doing to our bodies - from gut and liver health to nutrients, inflammation and mental wellbeing

Ultra-processed food is no longer just fast food. It has become woven into the way we eat - from supermarket staples and ready-made meals to restaurant food, snacks and products marketed as healthy.

But what happens when convenience becomes the foundation of our diet?

This panel looks beyond calories and weight to explore what highly processed food may be doing inside the body - from the gut microbiome, liver and metabolic health to inflammation, nutrient status and potentially even how we feel and function mentally.

Bringing together Siggy Claviens from De-liver-ance and The Liver Clinic, Dr. Mareike from The Vitamin Clinic in Sweden, and Renee Futton from L-Nutra, the conversation combines perspectives across liver health, nutrition, gut health and metabolic science to unpack what modern food is really doing to our bodies - and how we can make better choices in a world where processed food is increasingly difficult to avoid.
