Vitamin C beyond the orange
About the session
VITAMIN C. BEYOND THE ORANGE. From Ordinary to Extraordinary
Everybody knows vitamin C. Or at least, we think we do.
Oranges. Immunity. Supplements. A familiar vitamin that has been part of our lives forever.
But vitamin C has another story. At higher concentrations, delivered intravenously, this small and surprisingly powerful molecule enters a completely different biological world.
Same molecule. Different concentration. Fascinating biology. Dr. Mareike Claussen is a physician, molecular biologist and entrepreneur, and the founder of Vitaminkliniken, a growing network of clinics in Sweden. Her work brings together science, preventive medicine and real world clinical experience.
In this talk, she takes vitamin C beyond the orange. What happens when vitamin C reaches concentrations that oral intake simply cannot achieve? What happens at cellular level? Why are researchers exploring intravenous vitamin C in areas ranging from recovery and inflammation to fatigue, infection and supportive care?
And where does solid science end and exciting research begin?
Expect molecules, medicine and a few surprises. Because sometimes the most familiar things become fascinating when we look at them from a completely different perspective.
Vitamin C. Beyond the Orange. From ordinary to extraordinary.
Speaker
Dr. Mareike ClaussenCEO Vitaminkliniken, Keynote speaker, entreprenör, doktor
Dr. Mareike Claussen, MD, PhD, is a physician, molecular scientist and entrepreneur working at the intersection of preventive medicine, longevity and human performance.
She is the founder and CEO of Vitaminkliniken Sverige, one of Sweden’s fastest growing networks in preventive and individualized health, now spanning more than 80 clinics across the country and expanding internationally.
With a background in molecular genetics, medicine and preventive health, Mareike is fascinated by one question: How do we keep people at their best, before they become patients?
Her work focuses on translating science into practical, scalable healthcare. She works with physicians, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and people operating at the highest levels of performance, including the teams surrounding elite and Olympic athletes.
Her philosophy is simple: modern medicine should not only be about treating disease. It should help us understand the individual earlier, intervene smarter and preserve health, energy and performance for longer.
Alongside building Vitaminkliniken, Mareike is developing new concepts combining diagnostics, data, personalized medicine and AI, with the ambition of making high quality preventive healthcare accessible across borders.
A scientist by training and an entrepreneur by nature, she is happiest somewhere between a laboratory, a clinic, a stage and a completely new idea that probably sounds slightly impossible at first.
Her mission: to move healthcare from “What is wrong with you?” to “How good could you actually be? ”
