Primal moves and body movement

ExperienceExperience StageBODY

About the session

A Primal Play session is an invitation to stop exercising and start playing with your body again. We begin slowly—breathing, sensing, shaking and reconnecting with the ground beneath us. Movement gradually becomes more instinctive: crawling, rolling, reaching, pushing, pulling, balancing and exploring. There is no choreography to perfect and no performance to achieve. We introduce coordination, rhythm, unpredictability and playful challenges that ask the brain and body to adapt together. At times we move alone; at others we interact, mirror, respond and play with one another. Intensity rises naturally, bringing strength, mobility, cardiovascular challenge and a little controlled chaos. Laughter, mistakes and awkwardness are welcomed—they are part of disrupting our habitual patterns. Eventually the energy settles, allowing us to notice the contrast between activation and regulation. You leave feeling worked, grounded and energised—but above all, reminded that when your body moves, your mind grooves.

Boniface Verney-CarronBoniface Verney-Carron

My name is Boniface Verney-Carron. I am an osteopath, acupuncturist, and body psychologist, specialising in the physical manifestations of emotional trauma and stress.

My interest in this field began more than 23 years ago through an in-depth study of the vagus nerve. That research led me to a deeper understanding of the profound connection between emotional wellbeing, neurological regulation, and overall health. Since then, my work has focused on helping people understand how emotional experiences can affect the body, and how restoring balance to the nervous system can support both physical and psychological healing.
