Through real patient journeys, Umahro Cadogan an Dr. Pia Norup will explore how symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, biomarkers and functional testing can be brought together to understand the bigger clinical picture – and how this can guide a more personalized approach to treatment and prevention.

Umahro Cadogan
Umahro is known as the Mastermind of Food, Nutrition and Health, and his motto is “Food and Lifestyle Can Change Your Life”. Umahro is an internationally acclaimed Functional Medicine expert who has seen more than 14,000 patients in his clinic over the last 26 years, authored 13 bestselling books about health, nutrition, Functional Medicine and healthy cooking, hosted the popular TV-show “Kan man spise sig rask?”. He is a consultant to health- and biotech companies, medical labs, producers of food and food supplements, pharma, patient organisations, governments, NGOs and corporations; he is part of research groups looking at the role of diet and microbiome in neurodegenerative diseases and the role of nutrition, diet, exercise and lifestyle in ADHD. He lectures internationally on Functional Medicine, health, nutrition and peak performance. And he is part of the team behind some of the world’s best athletes. In Denmark, he runs two educational programmes/courses on health, nutrition and Functional Medicine: Sundhedsrådgiveruddannelsen about the foundations of health and Functional Medicine; and a 1-year clinical mentorship in Functional Medicine. He also hosts a closed Functional Medicine network for some of the bests clinicians and practitioners in Denmark. Umahro’s journey into health and Functional Medicine started, when he developed inflammatory bowel disease, reactive arthritis and atypical MS at the age of 19, and had to cure himself with nutritional and lifestyle medicine back in the late 1990s.

Pia Norup is a Danish doctor, author and certified IFM Functional Medicine Practitioner. She is the founder of Omnia Clinic in Hørsholm, where she works with a whole-person approach to health, combining medical assessment with lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, stress, gut health and hormones.
Known to many Danish audiences from TV 2’s Kan man spise sig rask? and Fede forhold, Pia has also written several health books, including Kronisk Sund, Aldrig mere træt, Styrk dit immunforsvar and Styrk dit stofskifte. Her work focuses on prevention, chronic and autoimmune conditions, energy and the practical choices that can support better health over time.
At Copenhagen Health Week, Pia brings a clinician’s perspective to one of the festival’s central questions: how people can take meaningful, informed steps towards better wellbeing without losing sight of evidence, context and individual needs.
